Workshops

Lighthouse Texts offers two different kinds of workshop, each with an intrinsic adaptable structure for a range of purposes, depending on context and specific deployment: a one-off session or a series of meetings; focused on-the-job training or general team activity.

Workshop Writing

The aim of this workshop is to enhance internal and external communication. Your employees are doing an excellent job but perhaps their written reports are a little deficient. Their writing is just too summary or simply uninteresting, flat, and awkward. We’re talking about highly educated personnel with impressive career records, who seem to have lost the knack of producing a proper piece of writing. Now, however, they’ve achieved a position where writing really matters, and you’re looking for a way to train that ability. Lighthouse Texts offers a host of possibilities for enhancing writing skills: from personal coaching to a complete training involving the entire gamut of internal and external communication.

Workshop Look, Poetry!

The aim of this workshop is to learn fooling around with language. In a low pressure environment you are stimulated to enjoy expressing yourself in language. Of course we’ve all written the occasional poem or lyric, but can we still remember how great it felt to actually accomplish such an effort? Or are we too embarrassed to admit to such dalliance? The general assumption is that the inclination to write poetry is a mere phase that should be overcome because we associate it with adolescence, being in love, or feeling low. Unless one is a ‘true’ poet. Lighthouse Texts can teach you that writing poetry is a way of making sense of all types of experience, in life and in work.
